1. Comfrt: The "Anxiety Buster" DTC Brand Goes Global
According to the latest GoodsFox data, DTC brand Comfrt is expanding globally. It focuses on comfortable clothing with a unique product strategy. The brand’s core idea is "wearable psychological healing." Its hoodies, made with special weighted fabric, are called "anxiety busters" by consumers. Recently, its independent station launched 2,032 advertising material sets across 21 countries. Global visits to the site have surged to 44,564.
As a leader in mental health-focused apparel, Comfrt blends neuroscience into its designs. Its signature weighted hoodies mimic a hug’s deep pressure stimulation. Paired with skin-friendly blended fabrics, they offer all-day comfort. Comfrt promotes a "comfort philosophy for mind and body." It serves European students as a study aid and Silicon Valley coders as a stress-relief tool, building a loyal cross-regional fanbase.

2. Shopee to Delist Products Repeatedly Failing Standards
Shopee Philippines rolled out a new product policy. Items failing quality standards repeatedly may be delisted or removed. This boosts consumer satisfaction and enhances the e-commerce platform’s experience. Earlier, Shopee hid or deleted products with excessive 1-2 star reviews. Sellers can appeal via a form or report abusive comments through the service page. Shopee reviews and removes violating comments per its guidelines.
3. Amazon Launches AI Replenishment Feature for Precise Inventory Management
Amazon’s new AI replenishment system transforms inventory management. It analyzes three months of sales, a 14-day stock cycle, and eight-week demand forecasts. This offers precise restocking tips for eligible FBM sellers. The feature applies to items with active sales in the past three months, less than two weeks of stock, and demand in the next 14 days.
4. Trump Tariffs Spark European Boycott, Coca-Cola Faces Cold Shoulder
Trump’s high tariffs on the EU triggered a boycott of U.S. goods. Germans are ditching Coca-Cola for local soda Fritz-Kola. A Handelsblatt poll found 64% of 5,000 respondents avoid American brands. The boycott began in Canada and spread across Europe. On Reddit, the "Buy from the EU" group gained 170,000 members. Germans shared tips on swapping U.S. products for local ones.
Fritz-Kola’s Trump-mocking ads made it a Coca-Cola rival symbol. Yet, experts question the boycott’s staying power. Changing shopping habits long-term is tough, they say. Trade experts warn that globalized product origins blur lines. Boycotting U.S. brands could hurt German jobs. Retailers remain cautious with no plans to pull products.
5. Etsy Faces Growing Pains: 1.4 Million Sellers Lost in a Year
Etsy’s active sellers dropped from 7 million to 5.6 million over three quarters. Q4 2024 saw a steep loss of 600,000 sellers. Active buyers fell from 92 million to 89.6 million. Quarterly and annual gross merchandise sales also dipped. New seller sign-ups halved yearly since 2021. In 2024, monthly additions were under 20,000, unlike Amazon and Walmart’s growth.
Etsy cleaned up bad sellers and fakes to improve its marketplace. Still, CEO Josh Silverman noted 2024 was tough for non-essentials. Net revenue fell 1.4% for the year.
