1. 15,000 Runners Buy In! This Australian Independent Station Wins the Cross-Border Race with Scenario-Based Products and Community Operations
In the fiercely competitive sports gear market, Australian DTC brand Runly stands out as a dark horse. Founded four years ago, it has served over 15,000 runners. Its star product, the HYBRID PRO running vest, sold out four times. In 2024, its repeat purchase rate surpassed 27%, earning it fame in marathon and trail running communities.
Runly thrives on scenario-based product design and strong community engagement. This dual strategy offers independent station sellers a model for success in niche e-commerce markets.

2. Amazon FBA Fees Fall: Europe Cuts Apparel Logistics Costs & Waives Returns from May 15
Amazon Global Selling unveiled a fee update for European cross-border sellers, effective May 15, 2025. For package-sized items like clothing, accessories, backpacks, and handbags, FBA delivery fees will shift from volumetric weight to a new system. Amazon introduces seven size tiers, with fees based on size and weight—starting with a base rate for the first 100 grams, plus a fixed rate per additional 100 grams. Most items will see lower FBA costs, reducing logistics expenses.
High-return categories like backpacks and handbags will also be exempt from return fees. For items sold after February 1, 2025, return fees will be automatically waived or refunded—no seller action required.
3. Products Misusing Shopee Labels to Be Forcibly Delisted
Shopee Vietnam rolled out new rules for native shop label usage. Sellers can use official labels like Shop Love and Xtra Voucher, which appear on qualifying product images (not detail pages). Shopee enforces three strict rules: no copying labels, no custom variants, and no edits implying special endorsements. Non-compliant products face delisting, and misuse may block shops from future label campaigns.
This ensures fair, transparent marketing. Sellers must check compliance to avoid penalties.
4. TikTok Boosts Chinese Goods’ Popularity in France
Amid U.S.-China trade tensions, TikTok’s “buy direct from Chinese factories” trend is surging. U.S. users learn to skip middlemen and tariffs via short videos, a movement now hitting France and Europe. Chinese e-commerce platforms like Taobao and DHgate are seeing download spikes. On April [specific date], Taobao climbed 23 spots to #2 on France’s App Store, just behind ChatGPT. In Germany, it jumped 131 spots to #5. DHgate hit #5 in France and #4 in Germany.
French TikTok users search “how to order on Taobao” and “set Taobao to French,” driving this cross-border shopping wave.
5. Taobao Malaysia Upgrades Localized Services
Taobao Malaysia announced enhanced services to meet local language and cross-border shopping needs. Globally, Taobao ranks #2 in downloads in the U.S., Canada, and the UK, and #1 in France. In Malaysia, as of April 16, 2025, it’s the #2 iOS shopping app, reflecting high user trust.
New features include Malay language support, part of its localization strategy. Taobao’s head promised seamless, worry-free shopping. The platform now offers diverse payments (debit, credit cards) and order tracking, strengthening its e-commerce foothold in Malaysia.
