2. Ozon Announces Suspension of Cash on Delivery for Most Goods

The Russian e-commerce platform announced that since November, it has suspended the cash on delivery service for most goods, only retaining it in the fashion category, including Apparel, shoes, accessories and jewelry that need to be tried on. Ozon said that this adjustment is aimed at better meeting user needs. For goods such as clothing, footwear and jewelry that users prefer to try on, the platform still provides the option of payment after receipt to meet the actual needs of users. 3. Amazon India will Launch Creator Central

Amazon announced the launch of Creator Central in India. This comprehensive platform aims to enhance the creative ability of content creators. This new platform will be opened to more than 50,000 creators of the Amazon Influencer Program in the next few weeks.

 

4. Shopee and Lazada Cooperate with Thai Government to Remove Illegal Food within 24 Hours

The e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada have cooperated with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to remove all unregistered dangerous and illegal food on their platforms. Besides, they take prompt action against violators within 24 hours.
On November 7, the FDA invited representatives of Lazada and Shopee to discuss together, focusing on how to protect the interests of consumers and prevent uncertified dangerous food into the market. At the meeting, representatives of the two e-commerce platforms promised to remove food without FDA registration numbers within 24 hours and actively respond to the requirements of regulatory agencies.

 

5. Q4 Social Media Holiday Shopping Trends in the UK and US: 39% Plan to Shop on TikTok

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Sprout Pulse surveyed more than 2,000 consumers in the UK and US. 89% of consumers said that brand social media has become a source of inspiration for holiday shopping decisions, including gift hunting, finding the latest offers and looking for customers. Social media content (including posts from influencers, relatives, friends and brands) is the main source of inspiration for consumers' holiday gifts, surpassing TV, short videos, physical stores, review websites and face-to-face recommendations.
