1. Smart Cat Litter Box from China Goes Viral in the US

Chinese brand PetPivot launched an automatic self-cleaning cat litter box and dominated TikTok in six months. Its GMV surpassed RMB 100 million and sold over 60,000 units. At peak, they sold 252,100 units in just two minutes.
Priced at US $175, the product tapped into the growing U.S. pet economy. It features plug-free operation, automatic bag sealing, and anti-pinch safety. Its design mimics a baby toilet, triggering emotional resonance with pet owners.
PetPivot runs a full “influencer + UGC” loop. They use their official social accounts, hashtag #PetPivot, plus million-follower KOL collaborations. This case shows how TikTok marketing drives both brand and performance.

2. 88% of Users Trust ChatGPT Shopping Recommendations—AI Reshapes E-commerce Search

A joint study by Nuremberg Institute for Market Decisions and Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences found that 88% of ChatGPT users conducting product research did not visit other websites. Google users visiting additional sites dropped to just 27%.
This shows strong trust in AI-based shopping advice. ChatGPT outperforms traditional search for speed and relevance, especially with complex queries.
With OpenAI launching “instant checkout”, traditional e-commerce platforms face major disruption. Consumer habits are shifting from multi-source comparison to single-source AI guidance.

3. India Invests US $6.9 b to Launch First National Container Shipping Line

India has announced the formation of its first state-owned container shipping company, BCSL, with a US $6.9 b investment. Initially it will operate 51 container ships under a public-private partnership model supported by the Indian Maritime Development Fund.
The route focus is Asia, West Asia and the Red Sea, expanding globally later. If domestic shipping captures 25% market share annually, India could save US $50 b in foreign exchange and ease SME logistics costs.

4. CCPIT: US and China Business Communities Are Now a Win-Win Ecosystem

The Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) says that the U.S. and Chinese business communities have formed a mutually beneficial ecosystem.
This year, CCPIT hosted over 60 U.S. delegation visits; at the 3rd Chain Expo, U.S. exhibitors rose 15% and booth area grew 10%.
From January to October, over 3,500 Chinese firms attended 50+ U.S. trade fairs, covering electronics, textiles, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, optics, building materials, and energy storage.
In the same period, 66,000 origin-of-goods certificates for U.S. bound exports were issued, and over 7,000 U.S. patent/trademark applications were handled via CCPIT-affiliated entities.
Under a US-China enterprise cooperation framework, more than 100 joint events have served nearly 3,000 companies in manufacturing, rail transit, energy conservation, finance, and automotive sectors.
CCPIT emphasizes it will support the business communities of both countries, helping to expand cooperation and resolve difficulties. Both sides view business sectors as the main force—and beneficiary—of bilateral trade.

5. Walmart’s 2025 Christmas Toy Trends: IP Collabs & Educational Play Lead Consumer Picks

Analysis of Walmart’s 2025 holiday toy list shows over 55% of global parents rank toys as their top gift. Four major patterns emerge:

  • IP-collaboration focus rose 60%; 37% of toys tie to Disney, Marvel, etc.

  • Educational/learning toys gained acceptance by 40%; 63% of parents prefer social/emotional features.

  • Collectible toys drove 30% of family & child spending.

  • Budget toys under ¥25 (≈ US$4) had a 45% repurchase rate.
Top picks include Adventure Force foldable scooter (US$15), LEGO Marvel mini-figures (US$4.97), Bluey supermarket play-set (US$54.98). Safe & interactive toys like How to Train Your Dragon drone (US$39.97) and Toniebox 2 (US$159) became gifting favourites. The core competition is now “value + precision
