1.TikTok Sales Diversify, Supplements Trend Across Spanish-Speaking Markets
During Week 30 (July 21–27, 2025), EchoTik released its TikTok Shop top product rankings for the U.S., Mexico, and Spain. In the U.S., sports trading cards and skincare products performed strongly, and notably, Chips Rips trading cards reached an estimated GMV of $1.4–1.7 million. Meanwhile in Mexico, oregano oil capsules and multivitamins gained traction, with Aceite de Orégano products trending quickly. In contrast, Spain saw health gummies, car air fresheners, and retro game consoles dominate the charts, while V-Gummies apple cider gummies led overall sales. As a result, each market showed unique category preferences, highlighting the diverse vitality of TikTok cross-border eCommerce. For example, one oregano oil capsule ad creative reached 90,000 impressions in just 20 days.

2.Xpeng Motors Begins Localized Production in Indonesia
Xpeng Motors announced the start of production at its first overseas intelligent manufacturing base, delivering its first locally produced Xpeng X9 the next day. The X9 launched in Indonesia last month at approximately RMB 437,000, offering flexible seating and AI-powered features. A right-hand-drive version entered localized production in Jakarta in July 2025. Xpeng plans to expand its sales network to cover most core cities in Indonesia. Since 2020, the automaker has entered 46 countries, with over 800,000 cumulative deliveries, aiming to reach 60+ countries by 2025 with overseas sales contributing 50% of total volume.
3.Google Enhances AI Shopping with Virtual Try-On Tools
Google announced the integration of generative AI into its shopping services, introducing “AI Mode” to enhance online apparel shopping experiences. Users can enter text prompts to generate virtual fashion images; for example, typing “a green flowy dress for a garden party” produces visual options and recommends similar real items. In addition, Google launched a virtual try-on feature that lets users upload full-body photos to preview clothing on themselves. This tool is now live in the U.S. and works across Google Search, Shopping, and Images, signaling a new era of AI-driven visual commerce.
4.Yandex Major Shareholder Buys 27% of Ozon as Russia Tests Biometric Shopping
Russia has launched a pilot program allowing consumers to purchase 18+ restricted products on online marketplaces using biometric verification. The system confirms age through the national biometric network without sharing data with third parties. Pilot items include energy drinks and fireworks but exclude alcohol and tobacco for now. This initiative marks a step toward integrating digital regulation with eCommerce, paving the way for future online sales of broader age-restricted categories. Meanwhile, Ozon’s shareholder restructuring, with Yandex investors acquiring 27% of shares, signals shifts in Russia’s eCommerce landscape.
5.Toyota Defies China Slowdown with Strong H1 Sales
In the first half of 2025, Toyota sold 837,739 vehicles in China, making it the only top-five foreign automaker to achieve year-over-year growth. Lexus exceeded 85,000 units, maintaining its lead in the imported luxury segment. Toyota has strengthened its local management and R&D autonomy in China, transferring decision-making power to local teams. It is also deepening partnerships with companies such as China Minmetals and Sichuan Shudao Group to advance its electrification strategy. This localized approach is helping Toyota gain resilience despite overall market headwinds.
