Although the platform faced potential U.S. bans earlier this year, the risk did not slow its eCommerce growth. Indonesia overtook the U.S. to become the largest TikTok Shop market with $6 billion GMV. The U.S. followed closely with $5.8 billion GMV, up 91% year-over-year, supported by 475 stores and 15.3 million influencers. Meanwhile, livestream GMV share rose from 10% in 2024 to 14% in 2025 H1. However, high-value livestreams declined, with only one session exceeding $1 million GMV, compared to four during the same period in 2024.

In addition, Cook noted that Apple acquired about seven companies this year, some linked to AI development. He emphasized that Apple remains active in pursuing acquisitions of all sizes to support AI product growth.
