Their initial $200 kit comes with detailed video tutorials and high-quality materials, making it easy for beginners to learn.
The Woobles stands out in a competitive market by focusing on emotional value. They’ve seen tremendous success on TikTok, where they have over 603,000 followers and nearly 10 million likes. The average video garners over 10,000 views, with one reaching 7.4 million. 2. Amazon Introduces Visual Search Feature to Enhance Product Discovery
Amazon has recently upgraded its app’s search function to boost user search efficiency and accuracy. When users search for items like "flannel shirt," Amazon now instantly provides image-based suggestions. Shoppers can browse related products by clicking on descriptive images.Additionally, users can refine searches by adding text details—such as brand or color—after uploading an image through Amazon Lens. The new features include: 1) a “More Like This” button for easier browsing of similar products, 2) product videos embedded directly into search results for categories like home, electronics, and toys, and 3) a cropping tool to select specific items in photos for more targeted search results.
3. Shopee Thailand Updates Compensation Policy for Lost Packages
Shopee Thailand has introduced a new policy to handle cases where buyers do not receive their items, despite the delivery status being marked as "delivered." In such cases, buyers can request refunds, triggering Shopee to verify the delivery status with the logistics company. If delivery is proven unsuccessful, Shopee will automatically refund the buyer and compensate the seller up to the logistics carrier's maximum limit, excluding discounts or promotions. Sellers using Shopee-supported couriers don’t need to provide proof of delivery, but others will need to. Compensation will appear in the seller's account balance, and they will be notified via Seller Center and email. This policy currently applies only to Shopee-supported shipments.
4. U.S. Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales Expected to Hit Record $75 Billion
According to a recent report from Bain & Company, Cyber Monday has lost its top spot among major shopping days for U.S. consumers. Since 2019, its sales volume ranking has steadily declined, failing to make the top 10 in recent years. This trend is attributed to the slowdown in e-commerce growth and extended promotional periods around key shopping events.
Despite the waning importance of Cyber Monday, the shopping period from Black Friday to Cyber Monday remains crucial. This four-day window is expected to generate 8% of the holiday season's retail sales, the highest proportion on record. U.S. retail sales during this period are predicted to grow 5% year-over-year, reaching $75 billion, setting a new record for holiday season sales.
5. DHL Japan to Increase Shipping Costs by 6.9% in 2025
DHL Japan announced a 6.9% increase in shipping rates starting January 1, 2025. The rate adjustment is driven by inflation, currency fluctuations, and the rising costs of regulatory and security measures. This price revision is part of DHL's annual review and will help the company invest in improving the resilience and adaptability of its logistics network. Despite challenges like geopolitical shifts and supply chain disruptions, DHL remains committed to providing reliable global shipping services while adhering to evolving regulations and safety standards in over 220 countries and regions.
